The Gap Scout Group
Welcome
Formed in 1950, we are a well established Scout Group based in the Taylor Range District of the Queensland Branch of Scouts Australia.
We provided young people ages 5 to 26 with an adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive program. Our youth are grouped in sections by age and meet once a week during the School Term, as well as enjoying a variety of weekend activities away from the den.

Location
Our weekly meetings are help at our den located at Paten Park, The Gap. We’re located in the second building on the left. Parking is available along the driveway.

Containers for Change
The Gap Scout Group now has a 10c container recycling bin available to collect your container donations. All proceeds go towards supporting Youth Members in our local community.
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a 10 cent refund.
Other Community Groups That Use Our Den
Shed Night occurs on the third Wednesday of a month, from February to November inclusive. The night starts at 5:30pm and runs through til about 8:30pm. For a $10 donation, blokes receive a lucky door prize ticket, the opportunity to chat with blocks from the community, a barbecue cooked by the Venturers Scouts and a soft drink. Throughout the night, there’s the opportunity to hear stories from local community members through an informal interview. Members are welcome to hang around for Tea, Coffee and Tim Tams.
